Paste your team, pick a cadence, and get an on-call schedule template you can drop into your calendar, a spreadsheet, or Slack. Nothing you type leaves this page.

Rotation settings

One per line or comma separated, in rotation order. 2–30 people.

Your rotation

Add at least two names to see the schedule. It updates as you type.

Want this to update Slack automatically?

Sched runs the same rotation inside Slack: handoff DMs, an @oncall user group that always points at the right person, and swaps without a spreadsheet. Free for up to 3 rotations.

How to use this on-call schedule generator

  1. Paste your team in the order you want them to rotate — one name per line or comma separated.
  2. Choose a cadence. Weekly is the most common on-call rotation; daily suits support queues; "every N days" covers follow-the-sun or fortnightly schedules.
  3. Set the handoff time and start date, then export: .ics for Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar, CSV for a spreadsheet, or Copy as Slack message to post it in your team channel.

Why a rotation schedule template breaks after a month

A generated on-call rotation is a great start, but the schedule you export today is static. The first vacation, swap, or new hire means regenerating it, re-importing the calendar, and reminding everyone which version is current.

Sched keeps the rotation live inside Slack: it hands off on schedule, DMs the outgoing and incoming person, keeps your @oncall user group in sync, and lets people swap shifts without leaving Slack. See the free on-call schedule page for what the free tier includes.
